The Re-Align Program™

Preventing harm. Empowering futures.

The Re-Align Program™ is a proactive, early-intervention framework designed to prevent the intergenerational impacts of family and domestic violence (FDV) by supporting young people—both boys and girls—to understand their worth, build emotional intelligence and develop healthy relational behaviours.

Grounded in trauma-informed practice and real-world lived experience, Re-Align creates space for education, self-awareness and social-emotional growth, laying a foundation for respectful relationships and empowered decision-making.

This program is currently being rolled out across a range of community organisations, schools, youth services and support agencies—working in partnership with frontline professionals, educators and wellbeing practitioners to help interrupt cycles of harm before they begin.

At its core, Re-Align is about giving young people the tools to:

  • Understand and regulate emotions
  • Recognise and challenge harmful behaviours
  • Strengthen empathy, communication, and personal boundaries
  • Reconnect with their values and sense of self

Because prevention doesn’t start with crisis—it starts with realignment.

R — Recognise

Understand what FDV is and what it looks like beyond physical violence

Spot the signs: coercion, control, gaslighting, economic abuse, spiritual abuse

Explore statistics, myths and power dynamics

E — Educate

In this phase, clients begin to explore trauma patterns, cultivate emotional literacy and are guided to grieve past experiences in a safe, supported environment.

Through self-assessments, timeline work and trauma education, they begin to understand what shaped their beliefs and behaviours — and what no longer serves them.

A — Awareness

Build emotional literacy: name and validate feelings

Understand internalized beliefs and inherited patterns

Engage in guided group reflection and self-checks

L — Language

Practice respectful, non-violent communication

Learn assertiveness vs. aggression vs. passivity

Identify red-flag phrases and healthy boundary statements

I — Integrity

Explore personal values and identity anchors

Build accountability: owning impact, not just intent

Engage in character-building exercises and real-time feedback

G — Ground

Learn somatic grounding, breath, and de-escalation tools

Create a personal and group self-regulation toolkit

Model calm under pressure through roleplay

N — Navigate

Apply learning to real-life conflict, relationships and stress

Develop a personal Respect & Safety Plan

Engage in scenario-based learning and "choose your response" games

“We don’t wait for the story to break us. We shape it early — with power, precision and purpose.”
